3M™ Petrifilm™ Aerobic Count Plate is a time-saving, sample-ready plate designed to determine total aerobic bacteria populations. It offers an ideal tool to enumerate total aerobic bacteria on environmental surfaces, ingredients or in food products. Each Petrifilm™ Aerobic Count Plate contains a water-soluble gelling agent, nutrients and indicator – all components required for microbial growth with no agar preparation required.

The 3M™ Petrifilm™ range is easy to use in any laboratory with 3 simple steps: –
Reliable and consistent colony counts are facilitated by the inclusion of a built-in grid on each plate. A red dye indicator also included in each plate causes any viable bacteria to grow red in colour and helps distinguish the organisms from opaque food particles. All red colonies growing on a plate regardless of their size and colour intensity should be counted.
